Nursing Program

Hubby and I went and registered for school last Monday. I will have to go full time during the day so was required to give notice at my current job. There was no entertaining the idea of part time, or working at home. I would have been willing to do either but oh well.

I am sad at leaving my friends here at work and about giving up a career that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I am excited and terrified about starting a new career.

We want to become travel RNs.

The adventure begins..........

Wow, Congratulations!! What a big step this is, and what an important job you will be doing. I'm so excited for you. I hope you will share here on your blog some of your school experiences. I have often thought of returning for my Masters degree, but my health is usually pretty shaky, so it would be difficult for my body to handle the strain. It would be fun, though, to watch as you go through the process--if you have any time to blog, that is, with all that learning to be done! Hey, at least you already know the names of lots of medical conditions from your previous job. That should give you a good start. I'll be praying for things to go well for both you and your husband. I really am happy for you both.

Happy Easter. He is Risen!

That is very cool! We've hired several traveler RT's and RN's at our hospital due to staffing shortages and it's always nice for us to get fresh faces with different backgrounds in for new ideas but also they seem to have a great time doing it, not to mention making great money!
