Joanna Montana

Joanna Montana might be coming home from the vet hospital today. She has a bad habit of playing tag with the vehicles coming into the driveway when we come home, and Tuesday she got hit. We are so used to her getting out of the way.... Anyway, there were internal injuries and a broken hind leg and pelvic injuries. Poor baby. I have to call at 2 to see if she's coming home. I'm sure she will get lots of babying and attention, and LOVIN'!! I am pretty excited about it!!

I'm pretty sure she won't be playing tag with the cars anymore.

Oh, how sad. I'm glad that she's home. I bet she is too.

How's your baby doing? Are you spoiling her rotten and giving her lots of lectures on staying away from cars? I'm convinced dogs and cats understand far more than we know. My cats used to always misbehave when my husband and I went out of town, but when we started having a little "talk" with them before we left, giving them lots of love and promises that we would be coming home in a few days, they started being much more civilized in our absence. It was weird, but it worked. I suspect you won't be needing to instruct Joanna Montana in the fine art of car avoidance, but a good lecture every now and then, just to be sure never hurt anything. The good thing is, taking care of Joanna will be good nursing practice for you and your husband. :-)

Unfortunately Joanna hasn't learned any lesson. I pulled into the driveway last night only to have Joanna hop-limping as fast as she could to bark in front of my truck. I eased real slow to the end of the driveway halfway expecting to hear a yelp. You would figure she would save her enthusiasm for after I open the truck door.
