Beginning the Journey

ACT today. English and Reading, fantastic. Math and Science, UGH!! Lord, am I sure I'm supposed to be a Nurse?

Oh well, I can study and get ready to retake it again in June. I know I can do better. I got an A in Algebra, after all. I just couldn't remember how to do any of it.

Hey Friend,

It's so cool that you and your husband are doing this together!! You can help each other study.

I remember taking those tests 25 years ago, when everything was fresh in my head. I can't imagine taking them now. I would have to read entire math books to get my brain working in that direction again. I use a little of both algebra and geometry in real life, but not enough to get me through any sort of test. Now, reading, that's something I do every day... I'd be exactly in your shoes if I were being as brave as you and heading my life in a whole new direction. I'll be praying for you. :-)

Trying again--I posted this at the Meow, but thought I'd put it here, too, in case you're too busy brushing up on your algebra to make it over again anytime soon. :-)

Ahh--don't let the reading comprehension fool you. It doesn't mean I actually know anything, just that I can make my way through a paragraph or two. Talk about intimidating--I'm really totally amazed at your bravery. How many people have the guts to take their lives in a totally different direction? I'm looking forward to reading all about it!!
